we’ve learned so much in the past two weeks. we’ve learned how our systems could crumble (hospital systems, economic systems, etc.). we’ve learned the phrases “social distancing” and “flatten the curve”. we’ve learned we can sweat at home and even though it’s not as fun (at least for me), the community is still there and that feels good. im doing my best to be kind with myself during this moment. i’m taking things day by day and nourishing my body with good home-cooked meals, some take-out from my favorite restaurants, lots of tea and some wine. for me, it’s easy to feel numb when i’m forced to be still. but in stillness we learn so much. im learning to not look forward in panic but to just observe all that is good in my life in this moment. i appreciate this time with myself and my partner. i am grateful to not do this alone. for those that are, i send my love. remember that you are strong, you are capable, and you are learning to be more resilient than ever. we can pivot. we can make this world a better place. the opportunity is ours. “keep back” what is in the past and let’s move forward in gratitude and create the world we want to live in.
